Kiiwookew means visiting in Michif. The first time I beaded this pattern, I was visiting with new friends at Santa Fe Indian Market for the first time. When I beaded this pair, it was leading up to SWAIA where I would visit with new friends and see old ones. Those events and moments are one of the reasons I love beadwork so much – it connects us as friends and relatives and those moments when we get to visit together are so cherished!
Crafted with sterling silver, vintage, and contemporary beads, all sterling silver findings, and backed with bison hide.
